Sam Warburton receives "disgraceful" Twitter abuse over move

Sam Warburton has suffered a tirade of "disgraceful" abuse on Twitter as a result of signing with WRU, according to his agent.

Sam Warburton has been the victim of some "disgraceful" abuse on Twitter since announcing his contract signing with the Welsh Rugby Union, according to his agent.

The 25-year-old British and Irish Lions and Wales captain is now centrally contracted to the WRU and is expected to be loaned back to Cardiff Blues, which has been received with a tirade of abuse on the social networking site.

"Some of the uninformed vitriol aimed at my client Sam Warburton since yesterday's WRU press announcement has been disgraceful," said Warburton's agent Derwyn Jones.

Warburton reportedly turned down offers from France to remain in his homeland.
