Sam Warburton: 'I don't know if I'll be Wales captain for Autumn internationals'

Warburton: 'I don't know if I'm Wales captain'

Sam Warburton has admitted that he doesn't know if he is still captain of Wales.

Wales coach Warren Gatland appointed Warburton as skipper in August 2011.

However, the Cardiff Blues player now faces competition for his place in the side from Ospreys flanker Justin Tipuric.

The 23-year-old told BBC Sport: "I don't even know if I am still captain of Wales, you don't know until each campaign comes around, nothing is set in stone nowadays.

"The competition around the Wales squad at the moment is immense and you have to make sure you are on top of your game. I am on my toes and trying to play the best I can and make sure I stay injury free."

Wales will play Argentina, Samoa and New Zealand next month, and Australia in December as part of the Autumn internationals.
