Robinson announces retirement

Former Wales centre Jamie Robinson has taken to Twitter to announce his retirement from professional rugby.

The 33-year-old, who has spent the past three seasons with French outfit Agen, has been dogged by a series of injuries in recent months.

"After nearly 15 years of professional rugby I'm having to retire due to injury," he tweeted. "I'd like to thank everyone who's helped me along the way, from players, coaches, medical staff and supporters.

"A big thank you to the three clubs I've represented but especially to Cardiff RFC and the Cardiff Blues, a great club and a club which will always feel like home.

"Of course I could never have done anything without the massive support of my family and friends. Looking forward to the next part of my life."

Robinson won 23 caps for his country.
