Ken Owens 'could miss Wales internationals'

Scarlets hooker Ken Owens will see a second specialist to see if he will be fit for Wales's autumn internationals.

Wales hooker Ken Owens will see a second specialist this week amid fears that a freak neck injury will keep him out the autumn internationals.

The Scarlets captain hurt his neck during a scrum session last week in the build-up to Scarlets' game with Benetton Treviso this weekend and club coach Wayne Pivac has already hinted that he will be missing for at least two to three weeks.

However, Wales Online reports that the front rower has sought a second opinion to see if the injury is any worse than was initially feared.

Wales take on Australia on November 8 before games against Fiji, New Zealand and South Africa in successive weeks.
