Gethin Jenkins disappointed with Wales performance despite Fiji victory

Jenkins disappointed with Wales despite win

Wales captain Gethin Jenkins was unsatisfied with his side's performance in beating Fiji 17-13 on Saturday.

The hosts got off to a good start in Cardiff, with early tries from George North and Alex Cuthbert leading to them being 17-6 ahead at the interval.

Fiji saw prop Campese Ma'afu sent off for a second yellow card in the 52nd minute, however, and Jenkins feels that his side should have capitalised on their man advantage.

"We'll take the win but we're pretty disappointed with the performance," he told BBC Sport. "We lacked a lot of basic skills and lost the ball way too often.

"All credit to Fiji, they always come here and give us a hell of a game, I'm just glad we were on the right end of the scoreboard.

"We weren't at the races but we'll take the result."

Next up for Wales is a visit from world champions New Zealand on November 22.
