Wales assistant coach Rob Howley refuses to discuss the team's current ranking predicament.

Wales assistant coach Rob Howley has insisted that the team are focusing on the weekend match with Australia rather than their current ranking predicament.

Wales will drop out of the top eight in the International Rugby Board rankings if they suffer defeat in their final Autumn Test match, a result that would see them drop into the third tier of seeds for the 2015 World Cup.

However, Howley told the BBC: "I think we're concentrating on... our performance and winning on the weekend rather than thinking about the IRB rankings."

The seed bands for the World Cup will be announced on December 3.
