Wales prop Aaron Jarvis expected to miss six weeks with chest injury

Wales and Ospreys prop Aaron Jarvis is sidelined for around six weeks after tearing a pectoral muscle.

Wales and Ospreys prop Aaron Jarvis has been ruled out for around six weeks with a chest injury.

The 28-year-old tore a pectoral muscle during his country's recent victory over South Africa in Cardiff.

Jarvis is expected to be back in action towards the end of January.

"The scan has confirmed that he doesn't require surgery, but he is still looking at a recovery period of around six weeks," Ospreys medical performance manager Chris Towers is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

Jarvis has won five caps for Wales since his debut back in 2012.
