Australia have placed themselves at the top of Pool C with a 67-5 World Cup demolition of the USA.
Rob Horne and Rocky Elsom delivered a try each to give the Wallabies a 10-0 lead after 15 minutes before JJ Gagiano responded with his own try to give the USA their first and only points of the game.
While the Eagles continued to fight, Australia earned a further two tries - through Kurtley Beale and Anthony Faingaa - before the break, one converted by Quade Cooper.
The USA failed to cause an upset in the second half as Australia took their try tally to 11, courtesy of Drew Mitchell, Pat McCabe, Radike Samo and Adam Ashley Cooper, who crossed three times in seven minutes. Faingaa went over a second time before being left concussed shortly before 80 minutes.
Australia, who are now at the top of Pool C with 10 points, will face Russia on Saturday, October 1.
