Pablo Lemoine "really happy" Uruguay's Rugby World Cup try drought is over

Head coach Pablo Lemoine speaks of his happiness after seeing his Uruguay side end their 12-year wait for a try at the Rugby World Cup.

Uruguay head coach Pablo Lemoine has conceded that he was "really happy" to have seen his side end their try drought at the Rugby World Cup this evening.

The South Americans went into their pool encounter against Fiji in Milton Keynes having not crossed over the line at the tournament since Lemoine himself did so against England in 2003.

His side was ultimately defeated 47-15 by their Fijian counterparts, but the fact that both Carlos Arboleya and Agustin Ormaechea scored tries delighted the boss.

"I was really happy. I think our team deserved the try and we missed another one right at the end. The players have been trying and trying hard. It's good that we scored two tries," he told Sports Mole during his post-match press conference.

Lemoine's men have one more match left to play, which will see them take on eliminated hosts England this Saturday.
