Strong second half gives Toulouse win

A dominant second-half performance gave Toulouse victory over Treviso in the Heineken Cup this afternoon.

The score was tied at 14-14 after a close opening 40 minutes, Toulouse scoring two converted tries while Treviso relied on Tobias Botes's penalties to add to a Tommaso Benvenuti try.

Second-half tries from Vincent Clerc and Florian Fritz gave the hosts a comfortable lead before Yoann Huget added Toulouse's fifth try of the game in the final seconds of the tie.

Both sides found themselves down to 14 men at times in the second half, with Michele Rizzo and Christopher Tolofua receiving yellow cards.

With Leicester Tigers being held to a draw against Ospreys, Toulouse move to the top of pool two.
