Samoan coach fined 1,000 pigs

Samoa coach Tuala Mathew Vaea is fined 1,000 pigs by his village following allegations of poor behaviour during the World Cup.

Samoa coach Tuala Mathew Vaea has reportedly been fined 1,000 pigs by his village following allegations of poor behaviour during the World Cup.

In a report to the Samoan Prime Minister last month, it was claimed that Vaea "did not want to be there at most times" and "spent most of his time drinking". The study also accused Vaea of spending a lot of his time on the golf course.

Samoa finished third in their group behind South Africa and Wales, meaning that they failed to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Vaea has since been sacked from the position as coach.
