New Zealand captain DJ Forbes has warned that Scotland will be one to watch on the second day of rugby sevens action at the Commonwealth Games.
The All Blacks are all but through to the medal competition in Glasgow having won both of their opening group games, the second of which saw them hold off a spirited Scottish fightback with just five men on the field.
The reigning World Series and World Cup champions almost let a 17-point lead slip in the second half as Scotland fought back to 17-14, and Forbes believes that the hosts could surprise a few on day two.
"Yeah, it was [frustrating to almost lose the lead]. The game of sevens is pretty fickle - the bounce of a ball or the ref's call can really turn the game," he told Sports Mole.
"But good on Scotland - we didn't take them for granted, we knew they were going to be a good side, probably better than what I guess the other teams would have been expecting. [They are] definitely going to be a team to look out for tomorrow."
New Zealand only have Barbados left to face in Group A, while Scotland take on Barbados and Canada this evening.
