Leicester Tigers confirm Peter Betham signing

Leicester Tigers have confirmed the signing of Australian back Peter Betham from New South Wales Waratahs.

The versatile 26-year-old will join the Aviva Premiership club in July.

Betham, who has been with the Waratahs since 2012, has won two senior caps for the Wallabies.

"The chance to join a prestigious club such as the Tigers is very exciting and humbling," he told Leicester's official website. "The Premiership is a great competition which will help develop me as a player while I endeavour to add and contribute to the Leicester Tigers team and community."

Leicester are currently in fifth place in the Aviva Premiership table, three points adrift of the playoff positions.
