Tom Youngs: 'England motivated by revenge'

Leicester hooker Tom Youngs reveals that revenge for last year's defeat to Australia will be on the mind of England's players when they host the Wallabies at Twickenham.

Tom Youngs has revealed that England will draw upon the memory of their defeat by Australia last autumn in a bid to try and get their own back on the Wallabies this weekend.

The Leicester Tigers hooker is in the squad for Saturday's match at Twickenham, where the tourists were victorious 20-14 in the previous meeting between the two sides last November.

He has since thrashed the Aussies 41-16 while representing the Lions this summer, but Youngs has stressed that England want to exact some revenge of their own in what he describes as a "massive" clash.

"Looking back at last year, they got the better of us, so we're looking to put that right," he told reporters. "That's our main motivation.

"We've looked back at that game in the last week to remind ourselves and get it fresh in our minds.

"The Lions might still be fresh in Australia's minds but this has always been one of the most enjoyable games of rugby. It's England v Australia, which is massive for us and massive for them."

Youngs was tipped to captain England in this year's autumn internationals, where they will also play Argentina and New Zealand, but lost out to incumbent Chris Robshaw.
