Live Commentary: Ireland vs. Wales

Sports Mole's live coverage of Ireland's Six Nations clash with Wales.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of this afternoon's Six Nations clash between Ireland and Wales.

Ireland are out for revenge. Last Six Nations, when Ireland took on Wales in Cardiff, a controversial try from Mike Philips was allowed even though television replays showed that the ball entered play from an illegally-taken quick lineout. Then, in the World Cup, Wales knocked the Irish out of the competition in the quarter-finals.

Wales, meanwhile, are still riding on the wave of praise from their performance in New Zealand. Managing expectations is always a major concern for a Wales head coach, and Warren Gatland will be aware of this as he goes into a very tough test at Ireland's new Aviva Stadium.

After the nervy Scotland vs England match yesterday, let's hope that this one is as much of a firecracker as their clash in October.
