Ireland's Wallace out of World Cup

Ireland's David Wallace will miss the rugby World Cup after sustaining a knee injury against England in Dublin.

The flanker twisted his knee when he was tackled by Manu Tuilagi during his side's 20-9 defeat at the Aviva Stadium.

Coach Declan Kidney confirmed the injury and said that a replacement for the New Zealand tournament would be named on Sunday.

Ireland begin their World Cup campaign on Sunday, September 11 against the USA in New Plymouth.
