Saint-Andre: Scotland match "crucial"

France coach Phillipe Saint-Andre has said that his side's clash with Scotland this weekend will be a "crucial" point in their Six Nations campaign.

Les Bleus defeated Italy 30-12 on opening weekend, but their match with Ireland was called off over concerns for the Stade de France pitch.

"One saw that in the World Cup and then in the Six Nations against England and Wales that Scotland are a team who like to throw the ball around a lot, keep the ball and create a lot of scoring opportunities," Saint-Andre said.

"Alas for them, they didn't take them and they were punished for not doing so.

"For us as well, this match could prove to be a turning point. This will be crucial for in terms of morale and confidence it is always best to put a string of victories together."

Scotland host France at Murrayfield on Sunday, February 26.
