Result: France 46-19 Canada

France have comfortably beaten Canada 46-19 in their World Cup Pool A match at McLean Park in Napier.

The victory is France's second of the competition after their 47-21 win over Japan in their opening match.

Canada matched France for long periods in the first half but conceded a try just before half-time to go in 19-10 down at the interval.

France's class told in the second half as Vincent Clerc helped himself to a hat-trick of tries, including one from an impressive team effort near the end.

France's next World Cup match sees them take on tournament hosts New Zealand on Saturday, September 24.
