England have leapfrogged Wales in the latest IRB world rankings, despite Wales being on course for a Grand Slam in the Six Nations this year.
England's 24-22 win over France on Sunday means that they move from sixth in the world to fourth, switching places with France while Wales remain in fifth.
The top four teams at the end of 2012 will receive top seeding for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, being held in England.
New Zealand remain number one in the world.
