England release Jack Nowell back to Exeter ahead of Ireland Six Nations clash

England head coach Stuart Lancaster confirms that Jack Nowell has been released back to Exeter Chiefs for Saturday's Premiership match against Harlequins.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has confirmed that Jack Nowell has been released back to Exeter Chiefs for this weekend's Aviva Premiership match against Harlequins.

The 21-year-old has been given the chance to gain more time on the field ahead of England's Six Nations clash against Ireland on Sunday, March 1.

"We've had a good three days' training, including this morning's session with Oxford University," Lancaster told reporters. "It'll be good for Jack to get some more game time and we are looking forward to seeing how he and the other guys play for their clubs this weekend ahead of selection next week."

The England squad will return to training at Pennyhill Park on Monday evening.
