Graham Rowntree: 'England must be composed to beat Australia'

Rowntree: 'Composure key for England'

England forwards coach Graham Rowntree has said that composure will be the most important factor when the Rugby World Cup hosts take on Australia in a must-win Pool A match tomorrow.

England go into the contest at Twickenham third in Pool A and will be all but out if they fail to beat the Australians after losing to Wales last weekend.

When asked what the key to victory was, Rowntree told reporters: "Composure. We have trained well all week.

"It was always going to be a big game and last week (losing to Wales) has hardened us. There's been a real focus about the week."

Rowntree also said that the pressure of playing at home is a plus and that England must not forget how lucky they are.

"We have to keep pinching ourselves about how lucky we are," he added. "You can feel the weight of the nation willing us on tomorrow night. I envy the guys. We forget how lucky we are."

England have never failed to progress from the group stage at the World Cup, making it to the final in two of the last three tournaments.
