Johnson defends bungee jumpers

England coach Martin Johnson has defended the decision to allow certain members of the squad to go bungee-jumping on Monday.

Several players in the squad completed the Nevis jump, the highest in New Zealand, on their day off.

"What they do when they're training is far more dangerous," Johnson said. "We need a balance. We came to Queenstown to prepare for a game against Georgia.

"They've not been skiing, as that is risky. They're all sensible and they're all big boys, so it's fine with me."

England won their opening pool match on Saturday against Argentina.
