Ex-South Africa coach Jake White keen on England role if Stuart Lancaster leaves

Former South Africa coach Jake White admits that he would be interested in coaching England if Stuart Lancaster were to move on.

Former South Africa coach Jake White has declared his interest in the England job should Stuart Lancaster leave the role.

Lancaster's position is reportedly in jeopardy after the hosts' group-stage exit at the Rugby World Cup.

White, who currently coaches Montpellier, has been linked with the job several times before.

"England have everything going for them in terms of resources, players and history," the Daily Mail quotes White, 52, as saying.

"If they were genuinely interested and they approached me, of course I would be interested. It's one of the biggest jobs in world sport and you'd be crazy not to consider it."

White was in charge of South Africa when they last won the World Cup in 2007.
