England will share £6m if they win World Cup

England will share a £6m bonus if they manage to win the Rugby World Cup, the biggest incentive for any nation.

According to The Telegraph, England's starting XV against Fiji will earn £15,000 each, more than double that of any other country.

The £15,000 figure is split into a £7,000 match fee, £,7000 for image rights and a £1,000 training fee.

The Fiji squad, whose overseas players had to pay for their own flights back to Fiji prior to the World Cup, will only receive £500 a week expenses from their Union.

If Stuart Lancaster's squad win the World Cup at Twickenham on October 31, the squad would secure a shared fee of £1,808,323 – £58,333 per player, plus a further win bonus of £1,653,323, (£53,333 per player) taking the total, without match fees, to £3,461,555.

Any player who participates in all seven World Cup games would receive a total of £105,000 in match fees. The total payment – on the basis of 23 players earning seven match fees – would be £5,876,555.
