Tuilagi backs Lancaster to keep job

Leicester centre Manu Tuilagi believes that England interim coach Stuart Lancaster deserves to be offered the head coach role full-time.

The RFU are currently in the hunt for a permanent boss for the elite side, and Lancaster has emerged as a favourite following England's 24-22 win over France last weekend.

"Stuart has done a very good job," said Tuilagi. "Personally I hope he gets the job, but that's not my decision to make. Good luck to him. We'll wait and see."

Former Italy coach Nick Mallett is also believed to be a front-runner for the coaching position.
