Chris Robshaw expects England improvement against South Africa

Robshaw expects England improvement

England captain Chris Robshaw has insisted that the team can bounce back from their defeat to New Zealand when they take on South Africa this weekend.

Robshaw and his teammates kicked off their autumn schedule with a loss last weekend as they went down 24-21 at home to the world champions.

However, the England skipper is confident that they can recover this Saturday when the Springboks make the trip to Twickenham Stadium.

"All the guys were frustrated because we started well [against New Zealand] but unfortunately in the second half we slipped off a bit and credit to New Zealand, they are an extremely experienced side and they kept the pressure on us," he told Sky Sports News.

"We have an opportunity this weekend to go out and put it right against the second-best side in the world and it is extremely exciting. All the guys are excited and we have worked hard in certain areas to improve our game."

England coach Stuart Lancaster is due to name his side on Thursday.
