Stuart Lancaster commands strict discipline

Stuart Lancaster says that he expects the England players to behave during their tour of South America.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has revealed that he is setting strict discipline behaviour standards for his side's tour of South America this summer.

Over a third of the 31-man party are on their first senior tour and the Red Rose boss is keen for them to treat the honour seriously.

Lancaster is eager to avoid a repeat of off-field antics which marred their 2008 tour of New Zealand and 2011 World Cup campaign.

"They are representing their country and we talked about what it looks like to be a good England player on and off the field," Lancaster told Sky Sports News.

"I want the players to take an opportunity to understand a bit more about the history and the culture of Argentina as a rugby nation.

"It is important we are good ambassadors for the country, there is no doubt about it. I talked to the players about that this afternoon."

England face a South American Consur XV in Montevideo in their tour opener on Sunday.
