David Wilson ruled out of remainder of Six Nations through injury

Wilson to miss remainder of Six Nations campaign

England prop David Wilson has been ruled out of the remainder of the Six Nations championship due to injury.

The 29-year-old, who missed last weekend's victory over Wales, is to undergo an operation on Friday to rectify a nerve impingement in his neck.

Stuart Lancaster confirmed during his pre-Italy press conference this afternoon that the Bath Rugby man will be sidelined for the next 10 to 12 weeks as a result of the surgery, meaning that he will play no further part in the Red Rose's campaign.

England coach Lancaster has named an unchanged side for Saturday's clash against Italy at Twickenham.
