Alan Jones tells the Welsh contingent to bond with the rest of the British and Irish Lions players.

Wales prop Alan Jones has called on his compatriots to mix with the rest of the British and Irish Lions squad for their summer tour.

The party features 15 Welshmen, with nine of those players experiencing the Lions setup for the first time.

However, Jones has urged his fellow Welsh players to embrace the bonding process of the squad as they begin their preparations for the tour of Australia.

"Welsh players used to be notorious for sticking in their groups and it is new for some of the boys," Jones told BBC Sport.

"But you just want to chat to everyone, not in your room playing on your iPad."

This week sees the first of two pre-tour camps take place.
