Jeremy Guscott backs the Lions to win the opening Test against Australia on Saturday.

Former British and Irish Lions and England international Jeremy Guscott has predicted that the tourists will come out on top in Saturday's first Test against Australia.

Guscott said that that the Lions are better in a few key areas and the recent warm-up games will mean that they will be a more cohesive unit than the Australians.

"The Lions have the advantage in some key areas - set piece, goal-kicking and at fly-half - and this, along with most of the team having played together last week, will be enough to win this game," Guscott told BBC Sport.

"I can't see the Wallabies being able to come out of the blocks playing at the high level of execution required to win at this level having not played together for nearly seven months."

The first Test takes place in Melbourne at 11.05am on Saturday.
