Tom Homer makes Bath switch

Bath sign versatile back Tom Homer from London Irish following Gavin Henson's departure to Bristol.

Bath have confirmed the signing of versatile back Tom Homer from London Irish.

The 24-year-old has made over 100 appearances for the Exiles after graduating from their academy.

Homer was expected to join the West Country club at the end of the season, but his move was brought forward following Gavin Henson's transfer from Bath to Bristol.

"Tom is an incredibly talented young player and he's got a great attitude that will fit in well with the squad here and our policy of recruiting young, English talent," head coach Mike Ford told Bath's official website.

"He already has a huge amount of experience, given he's only 24, and we're really looking forward to seeing him continue developing as a player here at Bath."

Bath are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Saracens in the Aviva Premiership.
