Bath move up to seventh in the Aviva Premiership with a 40-16 win over London Irish.

London Irish remain just five points above bottom side Sale Sharks after losing to Bath in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.

The Exiles started well, Tom Homer putting them ahead with a pair of early penalties, but a yellow card for Topsy Ojo allowed the hosts to add two tries before half time.

Jack Moates helped get the visitors back into the game following a well-balanced start to the second half.

However, Jonathon Fisher finished the game in the sin bin for Irish, allowing Nathan Catt and Anthony Perenise to add late tries and seal the victory for Bath.

The win moves Bath up the seventh in the table.
