The two sides could not be separated in the first half as fly-halves Stephen Myler and George Ford each kicked two penalties for their respective teams.
Ford briefly put Bath ahead early in the second half with the opening try of the encounter, but Jamie Elliott cancelled the score out with a try for Saints 10 minutes later.
With just over 20 minutes left to play, the visitors were reduced to 14 men for a spell when Courtney Lawes was sent to the sin bin for an off-the-ball tackle, allowing Ford to put the hosts ahead again.
Myler was able to get Saints back on level terms, while the kicking duo both added a further penalty each inside the final three minutes, ensuring that the match finished in a draw.
The home fans were left frustrated at the end of the match as the referee initially awarded them a potentially match-winning penalty, but reversed his decision after watching a replay.
