Bath Rugby centre Matt Banahan has been handed a three-week ban from the Rugby Football Union following his dismissal against Leicester Tigers at the weekend.
The 25-year-old received his marching orders for a dangerous challenge on Anthony Allan during the Aviva Premiership clash on Saturday.
The fact that he pleaded guilty was taken into consideration when his ban was issued, but he will not be available to play until December 24.
Bath currently occupy seventh spot in the Aviva Premiership table.
