LV= Cup roundup: Bath, Exeter Chiefs, Leicester Tigers win

Bath cruised to an emphatic win over London Welsh in the LV= Cup this afternoon, with Max Northcote-Green scoring two tries for the home side.

The hosts had a 37-point advantage before Nick Scott put some points on the board for the Exiles, but his late try was only a consolation for the visitors.

A late penalty try gave Exeter Chiefs a narrow win over Gloucester Rugby in a closely-fought match.

The sides were level at the break, but tries from Yann Thomas and Bill Meakes helped Gloucester open up a lead in the second half, but a penalty try for an infringement in the scrum two minutes from full time handed the Chiefs the win.

Leicester Tigers held off a fierce comeback from London Irish to secure a narrow win over the Exiles.

The visitors appeared to be in control with 10 minutes to go before a late try from Guy Armitage pulled Irish to within a point of Leicester's score, but they were unable to force a penalty late on.
