Pat McCable, Digby Ioane ruled out of remainder of Lions series

The Australia Rugby Union has confirmed that backs Pat McCabe and Digby Ioane will play no part in the remainder of the British and Irish Lions Test series.

The pair have been placed on the sidelined due to injuries which were picked up during Saturday's opening Test defeat to the British and Irish Lions.

McCabe suffered a neck injury, while Ioane is said to have damaged his right shoulder, with both due to be seen by specialists in Sydney.

Ioane, who is due to report to police following an arrest warrant, could require surgery.
