Adam Ashley-Cooper, Wycliff Palu ruled out for Australia

Adam Ashley-Cooper and Wycliff Palu are to miss Australia's Rugby Championship encounter with Argentina this weekend through injury.

Australia duo Adam Ashley-Cooper and Wycliff Palu have been ruled out of their team's Rugby Championship encounter with Argentina this weekend through injury.

Ashley-Cooper is currently struggling with an ongoing nerve problem in his neck, while Palu will miss the match after suffering a blow to the head during last Saturday's 24-23 win over South Africa.

"It's disappointing to lose two experienced members of our squad ahead of what is an extremely important game against Argentina," coach Ewen McKenzie is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"However, this year we've taken a proactive approach to making early decisions around guys carrying injuries, which is the case here."

Australia host Argentina on the Gold Coast this Saturday.
