Wigan Warriors hammer Widnes Vikings

Wigan Warriors hammer Widnes Vikings 48-4 in the Super League.

Wigan Warriors have hammered Widnes Vikings 48-4 in the Super League this evening.

In a thoroughly ruthless display, the home side ran in nine tries, with Josh Charnley scoring four.

Liam Farrell scored the first of his two inside the first minute before Matty Smith claimed the first of his six goals.

However, Paddy Flynn added the sole try for the visitors to even things up before the Warriors stepped up the pace.

Charnley added another three tries inside the 10 minutes in the first half, after Sean O'Loughlin grabbed one of his own.

Charnley went over the line for the final time on 55 minutes, before Connor Farrell scored a try on his debut in the last five minutes for the Warriors.
