Super League roundup: Widnes Vikings win

Four tries from David Hodgson failed to prevent Hull KR from being beaten by Widnes Vikings in the Super League on Sunday.

Hull were 18-0 down at half time and despite a good fightback in the second period, Widnes managed to hold off their opponents to secure a 36-22 triumph.

David Howell and Jamie Soward starred for the London Broncos in a 20-10 win over the Bradford Bulls, with the former touching down twice at crucial stages to earn his side an impressive victory.

Castleford Tigers enjoyed a 44-30 win over Salford City Reds thanks largely to Michael Channing and Justin Carney, who shared five of their side's seven tries as the latter produced three scores of his own.

Jodie Broughton scored a hat-trick for the defeated side in an entertaining contest.
