Widnes Vikings director Paul Cullen steps down

Paul Cullen announces that he is stepping down from his director of rugby role at the Widnes Vikings.

Widnes Vikings' director of rugby, Paul Cullen, has announced that he is leaving the club.

Cullen, who has been with the outfit for three years, was previously the their head coach before the club earned promotion to the Championship.

"I have enjoyed my time at Widnes and the time is now right for me to move on," Cullen told the club's official website. "I hope I have played my part in a revolution and it is now time for the Vikings to evolve."

During his playing days, Cullen competed for Warrington for a 17-year stint.
