Tomkins committed to Wigan

Wigan Warriors full-back Sam Tomkins has admitted that he will honour his contract at the club despite agreeing to switch to rugby union this weekend.

The 22-year-old will play for the Barbarians against Australia at Twickenham tomorrow.

"I have got a future at Wigan for the next three years," the Daily Star quotes Tomkins as saying.

"In three years' time I will see what options are available. But I want to be there for the 2013 World Cup."

Tomkins will become the first rugby league player to feature for the Barbarians.
