Sean Long to become Salford City Reds coach

Sean Long has decided to join the coaching staff of Salford City Reds, according to BBC Radio Manchester.

The 34-year-old former Great Britain scrum-half announced his retirement from the game earlier this week after failing to recover from a shoulder injury sustained in June while playing for Hull FC.

Current Reds manager Matt Parish has overhauled his backroom staff this summer and hopes to announce Long's arrival soon.
