Lomax included in Four Nations squad

St. Helens' Jonny Lomax has been included in England's initial 32-man squad for the Four Nations.

Coach Steve McNamara, who named his squad for the Autumn series today, said that Lomax's recent form had impressed him.

"Jonny joins the ETS (Elite Training Squad) from the Knights squad and has impressed me with the progress he has made this year," he said.

"He's a smashing young man and I'm looking forward to working with him in the ETS."

McNamara also named four other debutants in the squad: Hull's Kirk Yeaman, Leeds' Jamie Jone Buchanan and Warrington pair Garreth Carvell and Ryan Atkins.

England begin the Four Nations against Wales in Leigh on October 29.
