James Graham banned for 12 matches

James Graham recieves a 12-game ban for biting the ear of Melbourne Storm player Billy Slater during the NRL Grand Final on Sunday.

Canterbury Bulldogs prop James Graham has been banned for 12 matches for biting the ear of an opponent.

The former St Helens man was cited for the incident during the Australian NRL Grand Final against Melbourne Storm on Sunday.

Graham did not see red for the bite on Billy Slater, but was instead placed on report, which has allowed a NRL judiciary panel to take retroactive action.

It means that the 27-year-old, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, will now miss England's Autumn Series matches against France and Wales.

"We disagree with the ruling, but do not dispute the process," said Bulldogs' chief executive Todd Greenberg.

Melbourne Storm went on to clinch the trophy 14-4.
