Newcastle Falcons agree Danny Barnes deal

Newcastle Falcons have completed the signing of Danny Barnes from Munster on a two-year contact.

The 23-year-old, who has represented Ireland at youth level, becomes the seventh signing for Newcastle, who were promoted to the Aviva Premiership last season.

"From talking to Dean [Richards] it is clear that he has big plans," Barnes told the club's official website.

"After gaining promotion to the Premiership I am looking forward to testing myself on the big stage next season."

Barnes scored seven tries for Munster last season.
