Harlequins' Howell banned for six games

Harlequins' David Howell has been banned for six matches by the Rugby Football League for biting an opponent.

The Australian centre was found guilty by the RFL for biting Catalans scrum-half Remy Marginet during Quins' 48-22 defeat on Saturday.

As the club only have four games remaining this season, Howell's suspension will continue next term.

The 27-year-old was also fined £300.
