Wales lose opening international

Wales slipped to defeat in their opening game in the triangular Autumn international series against France.

Wales scored an early try through David James to lead 6-0 as France missed a number of early chances.

However, the home side ran in three tries in nine minutes to lead 18-6 at half-time.

Gil Dudson received a yellow card after 50 minutes, reducing Wales to 12 men and handing France a penalty.

The series continues next Saturday when Wales host England.
