Union chief Ernie Benbow criticises Bradford Bulls administrator Brendan Guilfoyle

Union chief blasts Bulls administrators

Rugby League Players' Union chief executive Ernie Benbow has accused Bradford Bulls' administrator Brendan Guilfoyle of a breakdown in communications with the players.

The financially-stricken team have not been paid their wages, which were due to go through yesterday, and are believed to have been told as late as 5.30pm last night.

"This is the final straw and I can only imagine the way the players are feeling right now," Benbow told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus.

"They've done everything asked of them on the pitch and now, having been constantly kept in the dark by the administrator, have now learnt that they have not been paid.

"The communication from the administrator has been poor from the start but now there has been a complete breakdown."

Guilfoyle has confirmed that the players' wages are expected to go through today.
