James Lowes prepares for Bradford Bulls relegation

Bradford Bulls boss James Lowes says that his team will go down fighting in the event that they are relegated from the Super League this season.

James Lowes has conceded that his Bradford Bulls team must begin to mentally prepare for the likelihood of being relegated from the Super League.

The Bulls went down 46-22 to St Helens at Langley Park tonight to leave Lowes's side 11 points adrift of safety with just seven fixtures remaining.

Much of the damage was done in the opening 40 minutes as the league leaders held a commanding 28-point lead at the break.

However, a spirited second-half display saw Bradford run in four tries of their own, and Lowes hopes that his troops can replicate that commitment in their remaining matches.

"It is looking more and more likely we will get relegated," he told Sky Sports News.

"We will get our heads round that. If that is the way it goes it is the way it goes. I want the lads to go down in the manner of that second half."

Bradford were slapped with a six-point deduction before the season began after going into administration following a botched takeover bid.
