Sir Henry Cecil's Frankel records his 13th win in succession at York Racecourse.

Newmarket-trained Frankel won his 13th race in succession in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York Racecourse this afternoon.

Ridden by Tom Queally, the world's current best racehorse was last to come out of the stalls.

However, the Sir Henry Cecil-trained colt soon recovered from the slow start to move into the middle of the pack with one mile of the race completed.

He then proceeded to power up the bridal, leaving the rest of the field trailing in his wake as the finish line drew closer. The winning distance was eventually recorded at seven lengths.

Frankie Dettori claimed second spot on board Farhh, while St Nicholas Abbey took third.

Today's race was the first time that Frankel, who has now won over £2m in prize money, had competed over a distance greater than one mile.
